Production Technology

Prepare the land by 3-4 plowing and planking. Level the land well for better and equal distribution of water

Time of Sowing & Seed Rate

For better production, wheat sowing should be completed during first two weeks of November. Sowing after Nov 15 causes reduction in production @ 15-20 kg/acre/day. Sowing should be done with the help of a drill or pore method.

Sowing Time Seed Rate/Acre Germination
Sowing Up to 20th November 50 Kg Not less than 85%
21st November to 15th December 60 Kg Not less than 85%

Apply fertilizer N: P with a proportion 1:1.5. In rice and sugarcane grown areas also apply K @ 1 bag/acre.

Note: – All the NPK fertilizer should be applied at the time of sowing

Irrigation

The delta of water for Wheat is 16 Inch/acre. First irrigation in cotton, maize and sugarcane grown areas should be done 20-25 days after sowing and in Rice grown areas 30-40 days after sowing. Rest of the irrigations should be done during critical stages
